And what if you took it back because you needed[1] it?  The lesson here
is that, if you cannot trust your manglement, get them to sign a receipt
for every piece of your property that you bring onto the premises.  That
way, they're acknowledging that they're using your property and that
they will need to return it to you, upon your demand, or that they will
have to purchase it for you.

What scum.


[1] Or for no good reason at all.  It's your property, and that's reason
     enough.
