" Okay, I remember these things now. OEM boards sun makes
" up for other uses. I've seen them in Telco devices, like
" the product, I saw at a trade show, a high available
" phone control device using 3 of these boards.

yup, but shrunk down to ss20 size and fits the aurora chassis, and
with socketed cpu [and other things] as mike said. has an internal
narrow scsi socket just like ss5/ss20; also internal audio like ss5
but doesn't seem to work - under 64b s8 anyway.
afaik they were eol in '02.

...and that doc is marked -preliminary-... which it clearly is; it
-really- needs an edit. but it's the only one.

" this is the link to the Ultra 20.... it is an Ultra 30-ish, one
" processor, in a sparc 20
" case... two sbus slots, and will take 2 gig memory...

" just don't try to update the opb! it will turn the box into a doorstop.
yep. self-ids as 'ultra 2' for os installation, but that's a stretch
from the hardware level, so flashing the obp with an ultra-2 image is
'contraindicated'...
