Yes but is not the same ... you can't roll the whole os...in bsd you 
can go to /usr/src and give the command "build world" and the whole os 
is rebuild. Not just a single package. That said you can do the same 
with Gentoo Linux. However their support for the Ultra's is still not 
100 %.
