I've found however for my requirements that having X installed is not
feaseble at all due to disk space. I run a couple of boxes that don't 
need X like name servers, firewalls, NAT's,even mailservers.I switched 
to NetBSD because i.m.h.o it has a cleaner and leaner design to it. Also 
I'm a purist in the way that if I don't compile the lot from scratch I don't
trust it becuase the code was probably compiled without the correct optimisation, 
so I don't like the fact that you can't simply re-compile debian like you can a *BSD 
flavoured system. The only problem is that for now NetBSD dousn't function on SMP Ultra's.
