I think this depends on what rev of Solaris you are on. Under Sol 8 it
wont, but I would think that the latest Solaris 9 release should be
able to do it. Solaris Express will do it. In fact, this is something
that comes up from time to time and I made an HOWTO at:

If you look at the link under IPMP under Solaris, or, "How to make
sure you stay connected to the network"
(http://www.cimastudios.com/fdion/ipmp.html is the direct link), it
might give you some pointers.

It's pretty easy to test if you have a Sol 9 box already set up for
IPMP, just add an alias as mentioned in the above link and you should
be done.
