Am I imagining things, or does Solaris 9 scream on old SMP x86 hardware (once you get through the travails of installing it)? I loaded up an old Intel "server" board with 2 PII-400s and was very pleasantly surprised. BTW, Sun looks to be kicking butt again, based on their recent announcements.
