I know it used to be quite bad, but there were ways to improve IDE performance, IIRC (adjusting parameters) - any limits on HD size & speed? (Largest boot drive installed, and what is IDE interface speed on U5/10 - 33, 66, 100, or greater?

I think up to about 137GB for ATA33/66/100 is supported. If the
interface is ATA133, greater than that is supported. They added a few
more bits to the addressing scheme in ATA133.

I am pretty sure the U5/U10 has ATA66, but am not 100% sure.
