The P4 is a refinement of the Pentium Pro chip. It designed to maximize
clock cycles per instruction and minimize cost. Although it is made in
Israel, the fab runs on the sabbath and therefore 1 out of 7 is not kosher.

It is basicaly a "rip" chip (reduced instruction performance).

BTW, IMHO the most important microprocessor chip was the 80386. It's 
combination of support for virtual memory and a flat address space
made affordable UNIX, and it's children e.g. the 386 BSDs, Linux, etc
a reality.
