I can clearly see where math and physics people would take 
easily to the study of computer science, as far as the 
theoretical stuff, algorithms, etc., but computer operation and 
administration really are a far cry from the theoretical stuff, 
so I think that's where the association doesn't hold water. Same 
thing with electrical engineers - most electrical engineering 
study is the theoretical stuff, if it has anything to do with 
computers at all.

Like I said above, the theoretical stuff is so low-level, and 
the operational stuff is so high-level that they really have no 
correlation.
