Yes, but often the free ones have very low ram and a very slow processor
(SM100s and SM40s seeming quite common).  Sure, there are tasks that
these will do just fun when running NetBSD (mail maybe, DNS probably,
low speed DSL router probably), but a lot of other tasks will scream for
more ram and/or CPU, and while those are cheap, they aren't that cheap
(compared to a U1) unless you happen to find someone giving them away on
mailing lists, which certainly happens from time to time.

That said, I would like another SS20 someday, as well as a SS10[0]. I'll go
looking for them when I have more money.  What I'd really love is to
somehow get a quad set of CPUs for a SS20.

[0] I want to someday have a dual processor SS10 with a ZX board.  Such
    a machine was the first Sun I spent serious time with.  It was such
    a beatiful machine.  Many a happy hour was spent at it.  Sigh.
