Power Management Unit (PMU) reset.  The CUDA is a chip that controls 
parameter RAM.  The button is a surfacemount thingy labeled logic board 
reset or PMU reset or some such on the logic board. (Motherboard to PC 
people)

Sometimes the PMU is so flakey it just takes a bunch of pain and part 
swapping then all of a sudden it comes back to life for no reason.  
This happened last time I upgraded my G3 to a G4.
