What do you mean shoving it under the SCSI driver without telling you?
Do you want them to question you about every driver they might use?
Besides, SATA is very SCSI like. My understanding is that it is a
reduced SCSI command set, and that currently SATA drives can be used on
prototype serial scsi cards.
