I might be able to make it, I'll see if my wife can pick up the kiddo
from school.

No kidding.  I went without A/C on Wednesday night, the fan on the
outside unit seized and we were just blowing hot air inside.  88F and it
was humid outside when I went to bed.  I don't think it dropped below
85 inside all night.  It got fixed yesterday while I was at work, spent
most of yesterday evening just sitting on the couch, blessing the sweet,
sweet airconditioning.
