Naw, IMHO the hobbies help define the person, not provide escape from
other problems. ("I'll take up model ship building in bottles because I
like it, not becuase it keeps me from dealing with my problems in my
relationship." OTOH, "I will get *more involved* in my pre-existing
hobby of model ship building in bottles because I can't/won't deal with
the problems in my relationship." From the outside, it can be hard to
tell the difference.)
