I have received political spam before. It was in support of Serbia.
Generally, though, I don't think that this would be taken very well. Spam
turns most people off. That could be an interesting tactic as well, faking
spam from the opposition :)

Can you imagine someone demanding equal spamtime after an opponents spam
run?
