   Thank goodness for the clued-in who are willing to share
their clues with the clueless.  Thank you.  (I actually mean
that.)

   Is there any truth to the rumour that what was to become the
E-150 was, in fact, designed by another firm that was subsequently
bought out by Sun?  I forget where I heard that one, but Ultra-1
boards could be bought easily enough (and their PSUs) and the
whole lot could be bodged together to make a system (tell me why
else the E-150/"Netra NFS" has that stupid external cable that
connects the fast/wide SCSI controller to the internal disk bay).
