[rescue] Replacing the glass in a scanner

My father-in-law and I were walking through the parking garage at JFK
airport and came across a poor abandoned HP PSC 2110 all-in-one
printer/scanner/fax/copier. A quick triage noted a broken scanner glass
as the only obvious problem, so we brought it home.
I haven't tried hooking it to a computer yet, but a quick color copy
worked (caveat lines from the cracks in what was left of the glass), so
I assume the basic functionality is intact.
The bottom line is that I need to replace the scanner glass. I assume
that this is just a regular piece of glass albeit, possibly, with some
optical properties such as an anti-reflective coating. Is this correct?
Anybody know of a good source for a replacement? I haven't checked with
HP yet, but I presume they'll want something approaching the cost of a
new unit.
Also, are there disassembly instructions anyplace?
Thanks...
