[rescue] Locations? (Possibly OT)

I'm just wondering, is anybody here from around the Houston area?

Seems the biggest issues in 'cool' hardware is the shipping costs.

And, strangely, Houston doesn't seem to have any good places to pick
up/buy/trade the more interesting hardware.

I'd like to rescue more interesting things, I even have room and a very
understanding SO, but alas, such seems to not be available.
