   There are several tricks.  The one I use is somewhat dangerous but 
effective.  Remove the NVRAM, power it up, carefully insert the NVRAM 
hot, taking care to maintain symmetrical insertion and don't make/break 
contacts if you can help it.  Then you can zero out the password.
