[rescue] IPX NVRAM

Hi,

Has anyone got to the bottom of the issue
with M48T02 NVRAMs made after May 2000 in
old Sun kit?

I have an IPX - replaced the 48T02 and
now it won't pass the TOD (time of day)
register access test.

I saw some postings here about two years ago
(Eric Hall, are you still out there ?) but
it seems to me that we need to patch the boot
rom to fix this. I suspect that it's not just
IPXs too.

Has anyone tried?
Any guidance on debugging the boot rom would
be much appreciated.
