It is some years ago that I did my last PCB myself. I used a special
opaque plastic foil for plotting and ink pens to make photographic
masters. The pens are very expensive but give excelent results and last
forever. I recomend a ultrasonic cleaner to clean them.

Easytrax, a very primitive and old DOS based programm from Protel. 
Eagle, a ECAD system quite common in .de. Meanwhile there are Windows
and Linux versions available.
