This was the original reason I bought a Dreamcast for $60, to run
NetBSD or Linux on it. But then I found out it needed some special
"broadband adapter" for a NIC, and a special keyboard and/or mouse
as well, and I never got hold of either. That's one of the appeals
of the X-Box, though - it doesn't need any proprietary stuff to be
turned back into a garden-variety PC.  - Mike
