   This is why, in some cases, little bands of desperate people
gather together and all go in for a space separate from wives and
girlfriends.  RCS/RI is one example.  Who the Hell has the space
to run a PDP-12 at home, much less an all-up DECsystem 1090?  Not
that the 1090 actually runs (it is runnable, however, and in pristine
condition), mind you. 22 kilowatts of power (not including cooling)
costs....
