Heh.  Your bit of toxic waste is just comatose.  Mine's really dead.  A
friend gave me a "put away working" television set a week or so ago.  I took
it home, plugged it in, and switched it on.  There was a pause, a short
sizzle, a loud BANG, then lots of smoke.

So, what was, for a moment, the promise of entertainment and education is
now a disposal problem ....
