Goo Gone can eat some plastics. Beware!

I have a strange suggestion that might work: Go to your local
motorcycle dealer and buy a can of Pro Honda Spray Cleaner. It's
formulated to be safe on motorcycle seats, plastic bodywork and
windshields, but still effective enough to remove grease, tar and road
grime. It just might work on your case.
