I did, because I despise x86s and my U1/200E couldn't deal with
Mozilla. I'd never touched OS X, but I knew it was BSD-based, and reasoned
that if it really sucked I could always stick on Linux or a BSD.

It doesn't suck at all, it rocks. The only thing that annoys me is the
lack of X-style cut and paste. (highlight) (middle button) is *so* much
better than (highlight) (command-C) (click) (command-V) that it just
isn't funny, IMO. I'd love a patch or some type of third-party app to
provide this functionality, anyone know if there is one?

In stability terms... feh. The problems I've had with it are all to do
with waking it back up after sleeping. Sometimes it'll seem to wake
(fans will go on), but it doesn't provide the signal to the monitor to
make it come out of the standby mode it goes into when it hasn't seen a
signal for 10 seconds or so. Occasionally plugging and re-plugging the
monitor will fix this, but it tends to put the display resolution back
to 800x600 thus necessitating a reboot anyway.
