I don't know.  I saw a few 486s with i860 coprocessors on the MB being
sold as autocad machines, or for running fortran code.

I know that at one time Intel intended to replace all of x86 with a
hardware chip for running object oriented code.  It sounded interesting,
but not surprisingly, it just didn't work well.
