I must also say the 9600 was the first Mac to really make me fall in love with them (such that I had to have one). I was servicing my Mom's and found those latches and was just admiring the craftmanship of such a machine having been used to mainly PC's at the time. It looked like a machine with cojones... and it had a 21" monitor attached.. Andrew
