Apple cases until the blue and white G3 have generally been terrible. My 
personal favourites are:

 - The 8500 that required the removal of the CPU daughter board from one side 
of the machine then the system board board from the other just so that you 
could fit extra memory.

 - The original iMac that required wholesale dismantling of the machine in 
order to add extra memory. This caused Apple so much grief with having to fix 
problems caused by this non-warranty voiding operation that later iMacs where 
redesigned to allow easy access to the memory slot.
