Dave,

Really, what "real technical argument" do you have that disproves the idea
that in 1999, an Ultra 5 made a good Squid proxy and DNS server for a lab
that cannot route to the outside Internet?

Specify it concisely and precisely without insults or vague hand-waving
please. Or just shut up. Please.
