Actually, I have been said wineX under Linux works more stably for some games.
If the game crashes, it doesn't take the OS down :)

I even had one guy telling me that soldier of fortune 2 was faster under WineX
then under Windows (PIII at 500, gf2mx200 videocard iirc).
