Back in the old days when I actually had a job (like 7 years ago or so) 
I had a bunch of parts drawings dating back to 1905 thru 1953 that I 
had to be able to handle, so I had them all laminated (with a proper 
lamination, not the sticky amateur stuff) and that made them stay 
together really well. You might want to look into doing that for your 
PDP-8 stuff.
