Well. A PReP machine can use different sorts of firmeware too, not just
only OpenFirmWare. My 43P-100 has some dump firmware that is not
possible to use a serial console... NetBSD/prep only uses the static
residual data structure that is supplied by the firmware upon boot and
doesn't interact with the firmware anymore once it gained control over
the machine.
