Yep.  With a little compression (as little as 3:1), a SS5 should have no
trouble, and with DV compression (effectively about 10:1), it would have
absolutely no problem.

There was a company (I think it was this one) that made a SDI card with
hardware MJPEG, and an uncompressed mode (but then you needed a frame
acurate VCR since the machine couldn't keep up).
