Yep, requires a working framebuffer&keyboard&mouse though.

Whack in 1/2 and instead of "boot cdrom -s" just do "boot cdrom", answer 
enough of the install questions for X to start, bring up the Xroot menu and 
open as many terminal windows as you have disks, run format in each 
window.  The Xroot menu may vary dependant on Solaris version (olwm vs twm 
vs CDE[*] ).  You could probably do it from single-user mode if you can 
manage to feed format the required keystrokes with shell input redirection.

[*] Did any Solaris versions use CDE? I don't remember, I've been 
jumpstarting all Sun boxen window-less for about 3 years now.
