Also, did this beast need 110 or 220 voltage?  Did it put out a lot of heat
or noise?

These are nice.  I had one for a while with two A5000 arrays in it.

its a standard 19" rack; the extra width is room for the power sequencers,
etc.

Depends on the equipment; you can always just put shelves in it.
