[rescue] Blender for IRIX

Folks-

I seem to be missing some critical part of the puzzle here.

I went to www.blender3d.org, downloaded the Blender file for IRIX 6.5,
unZipped it, unTarred it, and got what look like the files.

I can read the text files, and there's a huge executable file called
"blender" in there.

I changed the ownership of the blender executable to root:sys from whatever
random stuff they shipped it as, and chowned it to 755.

'file blender' shows it as an ELF executable.

YET!  When I attempt to execute it, even as root, all it will do is say
"blender: cannot execute" ....

What did I forget to do?
