[rescue] IBM RS/6K 40P?

My knowledge of RS/6k is limited, so bear with me. 

A friend was browsing in a compuer renaissance store yesterday and told
me he saw a stack of pizza box systems. They are, allegedly, PPC and
windows NT compatable. His memory (he's a PC guy that I'm trying to
cure) is something about a 700 in the model number. I'm thinking it was
7000 and the 40P seems likely. Is this plausable? If it is, the asking
price for these is $30 - reasonable? In searching it looks like Linux
and AIX 4.x are supported.
