around here, -all- the new houses have 400a service, sigh.  i learned
that when mom sold the house i grew up in.  it had 60a, upgraded to
100.

mom got out just in time.

...and there's 3ph on the poles, in the old neighborhood...  dunno if
it's 4kv or 13.8 though.
