I wasn't suggesting this as an alternative to broadband, just warning 
you off that sales droid talk by Verizon that said you could get 144k 
wireless.

SatCast (aka DirectPC) is $59/mo plus equipment costs if you sign a 
contract.  All you need is a view of the southern sky.  You can use the 
same dish for DirecTV as well.  (The price has gone down fairly 
recently.)
