[rescue] 48v 15 amp power supply kit?

PC power supplies usually require the 5V line to have a sufficient load
on them to regulate stuff properly on the switching side.

Plus, if the - side is electrically connected in some manner to ground,
your not going to be able to series them up.  Even if you can, then with
my (limited) knowledge of electronics, they better all be the same, or
you may end up with one driving another... recipe for magic smoke.

Generally the supplies inside 48V gear converts the voltages down to
the usual set found inside a computer.  It would probably be more efficient
to find some LARGE power supply that generates all the voltages you need,
remove the 48V supplies, and wire up the one LARGE supply to the 2-4 systems.
(or however many your LARGE power supply will handle).

Surely someone out there must have a 48V solution that doesn't cost a
fortune.... 

The other possibility is buying AC power supplies to replace the 48V
supplies with.
