Eric, I put one in a 411 case.
1. rip out disk and scsi connectors.
2. cut piece of sheet metal (old mouse pad?) to mount to old disk
mounting holes (with notch to clear fan), extending to rear of case
under scsi holes.
3. mount RX box to this with SMB connector sticking out lower hole.
4. mount DB25 in upper scsi hole.
5. implement reference schematic on perfboard; put on standoffs
(upside-down 4-40 screws w/ 3 nuts/ea) toward front of case from RX.
6. 2" of 1/6X1/2 AL angle will mount the antenna to the top.
Mine arrived speaking TAIP. I haven't tried setting up xntp with it
yet, but GPSSK under DOS on the penguin card works. It's locked in on
as many as 6 birds at once, so it seems to be ok. I'm still trying
to get the 1 PPS output to drive the LED (takes a bit of surgery on the
flexstrip and a 2N???? switch) and fork it over to the DCD pin on the
serial hose.
I'll try and get a couple pix to mrbill later.
HTH,
