It's probably the fastest 24bpp framebuffer available for a pre-Ultra in
blitting performance.  The available bandwidth to VRAM is far superior to
Sbus alternatives.

Note that Sun's OpenGL will use a software pipeline.  Don't expect any
performance miracles in 3D.
