Debian.  They supposedly make it easy to get up and running with
ReiserFS, ext3, and XFS, but they didn't do it that way 2 years ago when
I created this install.  And I don't want to reinstall, or reformat my
disks.   However, installing ext3fs soon wouldn't require doing either.
I think I just need to run some utility to initialize the journal and
compile in kernel support.  I already have the ext3fs tools installed.

What package system does gentoo use?  I've come to really dislike the
RPM system.  .deb is a lot better, although it still causes me trouble
try to enforce dependencies too hard.
