[rescue] Cool graphics display

I wish I could rescue one of these.  An unusually true 3D display
(as opposed to the ones that layer a few LCD panels and call
themselves 3D), using what seems to me to be a fairly good number of
voxels, for the low price of $40k.

I wonder what my chances of convincing my advisor to buy one would
be.  Probably not good, since in the end people do laproscopy with a
2D display.
