If it were me, I'd hold out for a U30.  U30s are only about $50 more.

OK, sure harddrives aren't quite as cheap, but right now I can get 90gigs
for about $100[1].  I would need to scrounge up some external bays.

[1] There are a bunch of ebay auctions for 4x23gig FH scsi drives.  Just
    external bays and a controller.
