Hello List

my name is Rico Pajarola, I've been watching this list for some
time now, and got myself subscribed last week.

I am 24 years old and live in Switzerland (ask me in private mail
for the exact address if you want to know), and I am studying
Computer Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (8th
Semester). Besides studying, I am working at various places (ISPs
etc), doing system/network administration, tech support and
programming (mostly java, but also perl and c).

My (computer-related) interests are UNIX and networking, and I
collect any computers given they run some sort of network enabled
multi-user system (do I hear UNIX?), and somehow fit into my
computer-room (this rules out most of the really old stuff, at
least anything bigger than a VAX 4000).  Currently I have about 50
working, networked machines at home, amongst them a VAX, a DECstation,
an Alpha, ~20 SPARCs, some HPs, SGIs, RS/6000s, 2 Apple Macs, an
Atari as well as a bunch of intel based crap. I also try to collect
as many different operating systems (also different versions) for
each of these machines.

My 'other' interest are Motorcycles. Last summer I drove 8000km
through Europe with my girlfriend (on two 125cc Yamaha Viragos),
and we're eagerly waiting for the two years that we have to drive
a 125cc to expire, after which we'll buy two real motorcycles.
