I believe you are thinking of the wayback machine.  They run something like
4 chanels per machine, 100gig drives, 1 per chanel, and add machines as they
need more storage.  I can't see this being the best idea long term though.
I mean, they are using intel or amd boxes, and that addes up to a tremendous
amount of power used and heat put out.  They claim it is cheaper though.
