The price difference is extreme between these... best price on
PriceGrabber.com for a 181 (ST1181677LW, 7200RPM) is $1199 from
MacUniverse. The 160GB IDE disks (Maxtor 4G160J8, 5400RPM) is $235 at
googlegear.
70-80GB seems to be a sweeter spot for SCSI. Hitechcafe has the 73gb SCSI
from Hitachi for $300. I use a pile of these from another reseller in my
machines at work.
In any event, if that 4.5:1 price-per-gigabyte price difference is
justified by your needs, go for the 181gb scsi disks.
