The primary thing to do is make sure your concrete floor is absolutely 
clean or the adhesive won't properly bond to the surface.  Trisodium 
Phosphate can do the trick- it's a granular powder that mixes with hot 
water and cleans the surface of all oils/waxes/residues.  TP is available 
at most hardware stores very cheaply and it works quite well.
